How do I type in Korean?

Add a Korean keyboard once, then switch with a shortcut:

  • Windows: Settings → Time & language → Language & region → Add a language → Korean. Switch with Win+Space, then toggle 한/A with the Right Alt key.
  • macOS: System Settings → Keyboard → Input Sources → Edit → + → Korean → 2-Set Korean. Switch with Ctrl+Space or the fn / globe key.macOS:

The standard layout is 2-Set (두벌식): consonants on the left hand, vowels on the right. Type the letters in order — ㅎ ㅏ ㄴ becomes 한 automatically.
